My first opinion of KAS Scaffolding when they arrived onsite was how professional they looked all in the same branded uniform & smart which isn’t something you see to much with other scaffold companies.

KAS Health & Safety approach has been excellent, right from Senior Management to the scaffolders out onsite.
They even set up a portal which we can access for any documents needed.
The KAS way of clipping all scaffold boards to all scaffold lifts was a real help especially when we have experienced bad weather.
The most important one for me was the standard of scaffolding they produced, there operatives are a credit to KAS.

I had KAS Scaffolding on a project that consisted of 22no Apartments and a commercial unit.
Before, during and after scaffolding works KAS were always easy to work with.
Works were undertaken smoothly and efficiently with attention to detail i.e. clipping all Scaff boards, aesthetically pleasing scaffold, labour well presented with critical dates always met.
From remote link regarding Handovers, inspections, labour skill cards etc, to directors/C.M visiting site to accommodate various issues I have found KAS to be a good sub-contractor and would always recommend.

Workmanship - No issues, scaffold is always constructed and handed over as per the construction drawings and too Barnes Requirements. The scaffold is handed over clean, free from spare materials and is inspected by the KAS foreman before handover. Any issues are quickly rectified.
Quality - Going the extra mile, NASC contractor, clipping all the scaff boards, attention to detail etc. Presentation and quality is key to KAS. From the Debris netting always been fixed and not left to flap in the wind to the boards all been clipped, caps on bolts and the correct ladder clips been used. All scaffold is in good condition and all ladder gates etc… work. This is backed up by an online system that works very well that gives you access to all files that you need including handover certs, design drawings, weekly inspections.
Health & Safety - Operatives are very much aware that H&S is a critical part of what KAS offer. There are not short cuts taken and operatives will always have the correct PPE on including harnesses. This is backed up by independent scaffold inspections on the scaffold and the operatives. The online system is updated with the Handover Certs and the weekly inspections carried out. All operatives have the correct qualifications and records can be found on the online system.
Attitude. Your honest opinion - Bring ideas to the table and happy to get involved in the projects at an early stage to offer their experience and knowledge to make any VE savings available. Able to be flexible and understanding when dates change and have worked weekends to assist us in progressing the project. Variations are priced fairly and discussed with the project team. Foreman on site are helpful and happy to work in with other trades.
Management - Office interaction, online system, communication etc Professional and always prompt to reply. The online system works very well and gives you access to all the up to date information for the project. Always able to attend site meetings, teams meetings to go through any site queries, questions or sequencing with other trades.
Time Management & Programme - The site at Chiswick was a logistically challenging. KAS were able to plan deliveries and erect the scaffold efficiently and on time causing no issues with the Metsec frame install. We are now approaching the striking of the scaffold where KAS have put forward ideas and assisted with the sequencing to strike the scaffold as efficiently as possible.
How our staff present themselves - uniform and client interface / communication etc. All operatives turn up to site in KAS branded PPE that is in good condition. Harnesses are always worn and all certs for these are issued. Foreman have black hats and all high viz jackets, hats are branded. Overall image is very good. Never had any issues with working with the Forman on site through any issues that have arisen. Foreman on site have access to the online system and email, this is very beneficial in keeping the team up to date with any changes on site.
