Project
Project Type
The Gredley House project involved the full restoration of an existing 1980s commercial building and its transformation into a new Travelodge hotel in Stratford.
Due to stepped roof levels and extremely limited tie opportunities at high level, a full scaffold design package was required to ensure safe access and programme continuity throughout the project.
KAS delivered a comprehensive range of external and internal scaffolding solutions, including:
Internal scaffolds were a key element of the project, providing safe and efficient access to numerous confined and awkward spaces throughout the building.
Collaboration & Delivery
KAS worked closely with Barnes Construction throughout the duration of the project, maintaining constant communication to support their tight programme commitments. Through proactive planning and flexible delivery, all access requirements were met without delay, ensuring uninterrupted progress on site.
While this may not have been the largest project within our portfolio, it stands out as a strong example of our ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet—and exceed—expectations.
Final Phase & Careful Removal
The removal of internal scaffolding during the later stages of the project required particular care. With finished walls, ceilings, and doors already installed, dismantling works were carried out with precision to ensure no damage occurred. Every detail was considered to leave the completed spaces untouched while safely clearing the final access structures.
Outcome
The Gredley House Travelodge conversion was delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations—demonstrating KAS’s commitment to quality, collaboration, and thoughtful scaffold design, regardless of project size.
